Supporting pre-veterinary students
The VIN Foundation was proud to once again sponsor, exhibit and present at the American Pre-veterinary Medical Association (APVMA) annual symposium.
The American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association is a national organization of pre-veterinary students. Our goal is to promote and stimulate interest in the field of veterinary medicine, provide open communication between pre-veterinary clubs and organizations nationally, provide resources to students on pursuing the field of veterinary medicine, and hold the annual national APVMA symposium. The annual symposium is a 2 day event bringing pre-veterinary students from all over the country to a veterinary school in the U.S.

VIN Foundation board member Dr. William Thomas at APVMA
Student Debt Education team member Dr. Rebecca Mears gave two presentations to pre-veterinary students. The first provided a review of the VIN Foundation Apply Smarter concept, and the second was an in-depth review of understanding you student loan repayment information while in veterinary school.
The VIN Foundation believes supporting pre-veterinary students is crucial in supporting the veterinary profession. You may explore the pre-veterinary programs and resources on the I am a pre-veterinary student page.
