COMMUNITY OF GIVERS
Plan a future gift for your legacy.
A legacy commitment is an investment in transparent, sustainable work that will directly impact the veterinary profession and transform the future for generations to come.
Give with confidence.
The VIN Foundation has received the Platinum Transparency seal, the highest level rating from nonprofit tracker Candid (formerly Guidestar) for 7 years in a row. Less than 2% of the nonprofits tracked receive this level of recognition.
I’m heartened to see the VIN Foundation providing career support, debt management guidance, and scholarships. It’s exciting to have been part of this organization from its early days. As a practice owner with no heirs, I’ve opted to provide a substantial legacy gift to the VIN Foundation. I’m satisfied that conditions have been established to continue the VIN Foundation’s work long after I’m gone, so this is something I can do to further the efforts I have been privileged to see begun during my own career.

Ways to give
A gift in your will
Whether you designate a specific amount or leave a percentage of your estate, your legacy gift will empower VIN Foundation’s continued work.
Beneficiary designations
Your retirement plans, life insurance policies, and annuities can all help bring needed support to veterinary colleagues.
Non-cash assets
Donating certain non-cash assets such as real estate can provide significant tax benefits while advancing VIN Foundation’s mission.
Qualified charitable distributions
If you are 72 or older, you can give up to $100,000 per year from your IRA, allowing you to exclude the amount of your RMD from your income, even if you don’t itemize your taxes each year.
