CE COURSES

We’re here to help you learn

The VIN Foundation continued education courses provide helpful information to veterinary colleagues. If you would like to be informed of upcoming CE courses, please join the email list via the Get Updates page.

Offered annually, this special retreat invites interested members of the veterinary profession the opportunity to take time and participate in a weekend of didactics and dialogues with the aim of helping us return to our professional and personal lives with a greater sense of meaning and gratitude. The didactics will be a combination of group participation and speaker presentation.

This course provides an in-depth understanding of the need to address veterinarians’ mental health and well-being. Learn about the importance of suicide awareness prevention and find out how to get help for someone in crisis. The Live Interactive webinars deliver 3 CE credit hours and the Anytime On-Demand courses deliver an additional 3 CE credit hours. This course is available on demand.

Stress within the veterinary field is at an all-time high and takes a toll on all members of the team. Unfortunately, the pressures of veterinary practice, possible genetic predisposition, and personal experiences lead some doctors, technicians, and others to end their own lives. Several surveys have found that both thoughts of suicide and completed acts are higher among animal health professionals than nearly any other group. In this course we discuss the risk factors for suicide, recognize common causes of suicide, and how to get help for someone in crisis.

Choosing the right student loan repayment strategy for the borrower’s situation can save a ton of time, money, and stress — a concept VIN Foundation calls Repay Wiser. This CE course is given as a 2 hour webinar and tailored the audience-specific needs.

Whether it’s 3pm or 3am, being on the frontlines with patients for the first time can be nerve-wracking! The Getting Through the Day and Getting Through the Night CE courses provide valuable guidance to help new veterinary school graduates transition from being a student to a working veterinarian.

Are you looking for a CE course you do not see listed but are interested in joining? Please reach out, our door is always open.
