The VIN Foundation created this Chrome Extension tool to give you easier access to your own data, and the ability to download it to your own computer. With this tool, we adhere to a strict “no access” data policy: this means we do not see, collect, store, or have access to the data you save using this tool. Period. By definition, that also means we do not sell or share your data, since we have no access to it in the first place. Once you download it, it is up to you to save it, share it, or do whatever you want with it. Since this tool has not yet been listed in the Chrome Web Store, using Chrome’s Developer Tool allows you to use it now locally on your browser by unpacking the extension in “Developer Mode”. The VIN Foundation does not know if the tool will end up getting approved for the Chrome Web Store, so keep in mind that using the tool may be stopped with no notice do to technological developments, changes in browser setting, changes on the website where you are accessing your data, etc.
