RESOURCES
We’re here to help!
CE COURSES
The VIN Foundation continued education courses provide helpful information to veterinary colleagues.
DISASTER RELIEF
The VIN Foundation is committed to community-driven disaster relief support. When disaster strikes we start by opening a direct channel of communication with leaders of nonprofits with boots on the ground in the disaster zone to identify where help is needed most.
DR. SOPHIA YIN MEMORIAL FUND
Dr. Sophia Yin’s family chose the VIN Foundation to honor Dr. Yin’s memory by creating the Dr. Sophia Yin Memorial Fund. Donations to the Dr. Sophia Yin Memorial Fund support the VIN Foundation’s Vets4Vets® program helping colleagues facing the challenges such as those that consumed Dr. Yin.
I WANT TO BE A VETERINARIAN
A career in veterinary medicine takes more than loving animals. But what does it really take? The I Want to be a Veterinarian website and companion brochure is helpful for giving pre-veterinary presentations, and for information in waiting rooms.
MODEL EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
Recognizing that (with a few exceptions) veterinarians are not lawyers and lawyers are not veterinarians, the VIN Foundation, working with both veterinarians and lawyers, drafted the Model Employment Contract – a comprehensive, comprehensible, and customizable contract designed to meet the needs of veterinary employee and employer.
SPEAKER SERIES
The VIN Foundation Speaker Series provides lectures and continued education opportunities to help veterinarians thrive so they can help our animals and those who care for them.
START UP CLUB
The StartUp Club is a group of supportive veterinary professionals who have taken the plunge as practice owners and survived to tell about it. Learn from their successes and failures to see if practice ownership might be right for you.
STUDENT DEBT
The VIN Foundation Student Debt tools help veterinarians, and those who support them manage student debt. Explore the Student Debt Center, Student Debt Help, Student Loan Playbook, Interns & Residents, and Repay Wiser tools.
Thrive in Five
Combining our most helpful resources for new veterinary school graduates under one roof, this Thrive in Five toolkit helps new graduates thrive as veterinarians in their first five years out of veterinary school. This resources if great new associates looking for guidance to help transition from being a student to a working veterinarian.
WEBINARS
The VIN Foundation webinars offer helpful information to veterinary colleagues, with topics ranging from mental health to student debt.
PODCAST
The Veterinary Pulse podcast features conversations with veterinary colleagues discussing critical topics from student debt to mental health.
Vets4Vets®
When you feel like the chips are stacked against you, having a confidant or mentor can make all the difference. Vets4Vets® responds to the needs of our veterinary community by providing individual peer mentors as well as creating group support networks.
